National Homebuilder Taylor Morrison® Partners with Broan-NuTone® in New TM LiveWellTM Healthy Homes Standard

(August 11, 2020) — In a matter of weeks, COVID-19 completely redefined the American life. Though the total impact of this pandemic remains unclear, there is one certainty: homes will continue to serve as the epicenter of “healthy living.” In their efforts to offer consumers healthy home features at no additional cost, Taylor Morrison® will offer Broan-Nutone® SurfaceshieldTM antibacterial LED lighted fans in their new TM LiveWell TM package lineup for safer and cleaner living.
The TM LiveWell TM package, complete with the unique SurfaceshieldTM antibacterial LED air and surface cleaning protection, was inspired by American consumers direct feedback amidst COVID-19.
In a Taylor Morrison national survey, more than one-third of home shoppers said they seek to purchase a new home rather than a resale for better in-home health and wellness features. While a Broan-NuTone survey further revealed that nearly two-thirds of consumers stated that they are feeling more concerned about indoor air quality (IAQ) than before with a vast majority of respondents reporting frequently wiping down surfaces and items brought into the home, using aerosols, vacuuming frequently and/or using strong chemicals to clean.

Common surfaces such as curtains, countertops, door handles, and sinks are some of the main perpetrators of accumulating bacteria. To reduce these health hazards, Broan-NuTone equipped models of Roomside™ series fans with SurfaceShield™ technology to create a new class of ventilation with antibacterial light technology. The Broan-Nutone SurfaceShield bath fans feature Vital Vio, Inc. LED’s that are deadly to bacteria, fungi and mold, allowing for hands-free cleaning protection, but cause no harm to people, pets and plants.All Taylor Morrison new construction, yet to be built homes sold as of Aug. 1 will offer the TM LiveWell base package, which includes SurfaceShield among the standard products.
