Does Haven Backyard Mosquito Repellent System work for other types of insects?

How does the system work?

Answer

The system is made of fixtures incorporating a vaporizer that releases an odorless, invisible repellent that protects a 12-feet diameter area. The fixtures are connected to a low-voltage cable, and then to a controller featuring an ON/OFF button. A green LED indicator signals when the unit is operating. Simply turn off the system when protection is not needed.

How many fixtures can be used?

The starter kit contains 4 fixtures, for the coverage of a 440 square feet area. An additional 110 square feet protection zone can be created by incorporating an additional fixture.

Can I add more than 5 fixtures?

Answer

No. The controller has been designed to support up to 5 fixtures.

How long will a repellent refill last?

Answer

Each repellent refill lasts approximately 216 hours. We assume a season as 90 days/average use 2.4 hours per day.

Does the repellent need to be removed from the fixture when not in use?

Answer

No, the repellent refill has been designed to be left in place, in the fixture, until completely empty. Although the repellent bottle could be taken out of the fixture for winter storage, it can remain inside the fixture until the next summer season.

Does Haven Backyard Mosquito Repellent System work for other types of insects?

Answer

The system has been designed, tested, and proven to be effective at repelling mosquitoes. It has not been tested against other types of biting insects.
